In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Garden Grove; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 amβ10:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Garden Grove is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. I been going here for a some time now(filled 3 cards) and the food is amazing. The service is quick and they are super friendly. Why I gave it a 4 star They need to update their website. I came here today and I found out that their creamy curry hotpot does not have Vermicelli anymore when on the website it said the curry hotpot had it. When I ordered they did not tell me about this menu change. This was very disappointing. Also, they donβt have their pho hotpot anymore. The table is also sticky for some reason but that does not bother me that much.

I went on a Sunday at 5:30 pm- there was no wait. Service was quick: they flip tables quickly. Food came out quick. The beef hot pot broth was not authentic but still enjoyable. I strongly tasted shrimp paste in mine. It wasnβt bad; just warning people that are not used to eating fermented products that the beef broth contains a bold aroma. I asked for mild and the broth came out too spicy for me. I recommend no spice for those that are on a dietary restriction or cannot handle spicy foods. Unfortunately, the hot pot is served on a burner over a fire starter so your ingredients will get overcooked very fast. I had to fish everything out before enjoying as my Napa cabbages were getting soft fast! The popcorn chicken appetizer was on the softer side but delicious on its own; the dipping sauce did not elevate it. I have 2 complaints: I wish there were more beef slices and none of the dipping sauces tasted delicious. For $17.95, I guess I got what I paid for.

Iβve been waiting for a decent Taiwanese hot pot spot nearby for a really long time and ZZ Hotpot House is definitely hitting the mark! The ZZ Hotpot Special has the broth thatβs about 80% similar to the classic Taiwanese 3 mom Stinky Tofu hot pot brand (δΈεͺ½θθι) which is already a win in my book! It even comes with a piece of pork blood cake and a few slices of pork intestine, trying to represent the authentic taste. (Almost there as my point of view.) The Taiwanese Spicy Hot Pot is served with beef slices by default, and unfortunately, they donβt allow substitutions for pork slices so I skipped it this time. The Seafood and Japanese Hot Pot came with two fairly large shrimps, what a nice touch. Veggies are generously piled under the hot pot, so you get plenty of greens in every pot. They offer four different sauces each table for you to mix and customize to your liking. Compared to Boiling Point, this place has a more diverse selection of Asian-style hot pots, including flavors from Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, Japan, Sichuan, Nanjing, and Mongolia. Right now, they have a happy hour deal (Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM β 5:00 PM) where each pot is just $14.95, and it comes with a f

Such an underrated restaurant! ππ² They offer a decent range of hotpot flavors and a bunch of other dishes as well! It was our second time coming and we were quite impressed. Compared to other hotpot places that we've been to, the flavors were pretty similar and had a decent amount of toppings. Our favorite part is that they offer a stamp card which is so unique! * Beef Hot Pot: 7/10 - good amount of meat and veggies * Thai Style Hot Pot: 8/10 - nice broth * Honey Kumquat Tea: 9/10 - my family enjoyed it We came when they first opened and there seemed to be only 1 person working during that time. Even though he was scrambling, he managed to serve all the tables efficiently. My sister and I believe he deserves more than he gets paid. The place is a lot more spacious than we remembered so there are plenty of tables to sit at. It's located in a large plaza with a bunch of other restaurants so parking shouldn't be too difficult but can get crowded at peak times. We'll be sure to return regularly and try all their other items!
